Zoot Thinsulate gloves are a Cheap and Cheerful. I'm clearing them out at £2.50 a pair. They are not the best flying gloves - the palms are too hard to grip uprights, but paraglider pilots do better with them. They're Thinsulate, so they are warm. They're fleece, so they are snug and comfortable. One size fits all.
I don't use them for flying, but I use them for all sorts of other things around the car and house. At £2.50 you can afford several pairs.
