Paragliding
The recent addition of Dani Loritz's Team 5 has added an important new brand to our portfolio. Exciting and dynamic, Team 5 will slowly become a perfect partner for Firebird. Our very well-established brand, Firebird have won major Championships, but recently their focus has been entirely on products for normal recreational pilots.

Other important brands distributed through Turfhouse are Charly and Renschler. Charly are justly renowned for their superb range of crash helmets, their superb harnesses and their very effective reserve parachutes. Renschler have the reputation for making variometers that are that little bit different - solar power being one of their standards in the past.

Hang gliding
Simon has been flying Hang Gliders since 1976 and is deeply committed to the Free Flight movement. A prime mover in the UK market since the 80's, Simon is very proud to have been so closely associated to Moyes Delta Gliders - the World's first manufacturer of production hang gliders.

Our new association with North Wing should prove an exciting expansion - watch this space.

We also distribute the Charly range of crash helmets and reserve parachutes.

Servicing and Inspections
Between November and February we give priority to servicing customer gliders - at a time when business is slow and the weather is usually not very flyable. Servicing is very labour-intensive and thus time-consuming and, whilst it is available all year round, at other times there will be delays whilst we concentrate on normal trade.

All gliders are personally serviced by Simon, who brings to bear the experienced gathered from more than 30 years working on hang gliders, and a very long experience with paragliders, too. He has also been repacking reserve systems for around thirty years, occasionally after real-life deployments!

We have full factory backing for our own brands, so you could do worse than ask Simon to service your glider. On the other hand, if you just want the lowest prices, you will probably find them elsewhere.....

Power and Microlights
Our brand-new relationship with North Wing brings a tried and tested sub-115kg aircraft to the UK. Our Stratus/ATF is UK registered and flying now!

Roof Racks and supports
Our range of roof rack products has been developed to enable pilots to attach ungainly hang gliders to the roof of their cars. Modern cars are not usually designed with roof racks in mind (and certainly not with hang gliders!) so our range has many uses outside the original brief.

The Gliderider was designed to use the car bonnet as a means of supporting the extreme end of a hang glider while it was being transported by car. We are the World distributors for Glideriders, and keep finding new uses for this versatile product.

To assist in getting a load onto the roof of a car with an unsuitable roof, or to enable a driver to use one rack system on several different cars, the inflatable roof rack can be invaluable.

Radio-controlled Model Aircraft
Boys will be boys, and whenever Martyn and Simon see a new toy they just have to have it! Actually, our aeromodelling section started as a result of Renschler marketing the incredible little Picolario Talk vario/altimeter, and then we got into ready-to-fly models. We simply can't believe the quality of aircraft you can get for not very much money. Pop in and have a look!
